Honored to once again have a post featured in the Independent Fashion Blogger network's weekly Links á la Mode blog link round-up. If you haven't read my piece on Coachella fashion yet you can check it out here, and read below for some other great reads from fellow fashion bloggers!

Color à la Mode

The theme for this week’s Links à la Mode is COLOR. From gorgeous spring hues to monochrome in the form of leather on white to completely unexpected colored combos like gray and gold, you’re in for an eye-full this week! We even have a post dedicated to the psychology of color as it relates to fashion. Oh, and don't miss the brightly-colored cat tattoo. On to the links!

    Beyond the Hype:

In Fashion, it's hard to tell what's really real. There is so much hype around everything. So many euphemisms, so many sales gimmicks, and so much "positioning" that to get to what really is going on... that takes some hard looks. This week we have quite a few thought-provoking posts that have us question the very surface of the fashion industry. About diversity, about diversions and about those tricks they use to make us buy.

    Stylegiest

This week in fashion has been bittersweet. First we lost a very talented woman, L'Wren Scott. Then the end of a particularly brutal Winter, Spring has officially begun. It's the changing of the guard, endings and beginnings, reminding us that nothing is forever. We have several links that challenge both old ideas (racism, sexism, both) and how to bring in the new (setting our Spring budget, getting to the gym, improving our diets) and even a nicely written post sympathizing with Fashion Blogger's significant others -- they have it so hard putting up with us!
