Full disclosure, this post is mostly for the friends and family members who have been constantly asking me, "Hey, Lindsey, what do you want for Christmas?" And not to complain about the most first world of problems, but since I get a ton of free makeup and clothing for my job, it is really hard to think of things that I really want to add to my list.
This year, I'm turning to my favorite things that I'll never get enough of: sweaters from Urban Outfitters, Glossier's makeup, Reformation dresses, and dainty jewelry. Nothing crazy, just Lindsey classics that I know I'll love.

What's on your wish list?
There are A LOT of Christmas movies out there. I mean a lot. And if you've ever tuned in to the Hallmark Channel this time of year and found yourself unable to recall the holiday-themed cheeseball of a movie you literally just watched, you know that a lot of Christmas movies are complete and utter trash. That's why I did the hard work for you and watched a bunch of them on Netflix; to help you prioritize what to watch and what to skip!
When fall comes around, you can catch me wearing this red flannel dress time and time again. There's just nothing more quintessentially fall-like than a red plaid, and this dress from Madewell is just too cozy—and cute, too!
What a whirlwind week it's been! This past week I travelled halfway around the world to Dubai for work, and it was a trip to remember.

Seriously you guys, where does the time go!?
But anyway, one of the big trends I'm noticing for fall is a lot of western and prairie inspired pieces. Maybe it's just the Westworld fan in me, but I am all about this look. Expect me to rock plenty of calico prints, suede, and maybe even a pair of cowboy boots this autumn.
It's everyone's favorite time of year: the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! There are a LOT of good things on sale this year and so many great pieces to stock up on now before fall rolls around, so I've done a lot of the heavy lifting for you and rounded up my favorite on-sale pieces!

Over the past year or two, I have fallen deeply in love with Reformation. They're ultra-chic, slightly-retro dresses are flirty and feminine, and I have found so many simple and gorgeous dresses from Ref that it has become one of my favorite stores.
It came out over 10 years ago, but I still think back on the 2007 film Atonement a lot. The film was a revelation for me. Its plot devastated me, pulling at my heartstrings all the way through before obliterating them with that cruel, cruel ending. It was a beautiful study in cinematography and production design; who can forget that long tracking shot of James McAvoy wandering through the chaotic French beach in the midst of the war?
Sometimes, work has its perks. Example: you wake up at 9am on a Sunday morning with no plans for the day besides getting in some pool time and making a sizeable dent in your current book when your coworker texts you and asks if you want to attend a beauty event at a Malibu beach house instead. Sorry, book, but you'll have to wait!

Ever since wearing this gorgeous Majorelle dress for my birthday last month, I've been loving baby blue pieces, especially dresses!

Back in middle school, I was all about the wide belt. A patent leather belt, at least 3 inches wide, was the perfect accessory to give my outfit the chicness of a Hannah Montana extra and accentuate my nonexistent, middle schooler curves. And don't even get me started on my adoration for wide belts post-The Devil Wears Prada. Anne Hathaway rocked the you-know-what out of those belted looks, and for such a long time I was sold that that was the epitome of fashionable accessorizing.
If you live in LA and you consider yourself mildly cool (and even if you aren't either of those things) you need an army jacket. There's no better cool yet casual jacket style, and there are so many chic versions out there!
Corseting is typically reserved for undergarments, but designers are breaking all the rules these days. Case in point: I just wore a corset-detailed dress for Easter brunch. Not exactly boudoir material.

Cute clothes are hard to find, but lucky for you I've rounded up some of my current spring favorites that are all under $100—because chic style shouldn't cost a fortune to achieve!
I'm really digging blush pinks and baby blues right now, with plenty of off-the-shoulder playfulness and woven textures. When springtime rolls around, that's when I'm feeling all the feminine details, like ruffles, fit and flare dresses, and pretty pastels.
Whether you're jetting off to the Italian countryside soon or just need to mix up your weekend style, all of these pieces are just too good! And since they're all under $100, you don't have to stress about splurging on a trendy piece.

If there's an "It" print of the season, it has got to be polka dots. I've always been more of a stripes than a dots girl, but after seeing endless polka dot prints on my Instagram feed, I just had to give it a try. I must admit that I'm quite the fan, too!

I for one love floral prints of all shapes and sizes, but I know there are a lot of people who are hesitant to wear the print because they think it's too "girly" or "feminine."

Accessories can make or break an outfit and are not to be overlooked. I know that I tend to stick to neutral black and brown accessories—colors that are versatile and can go with basically everything in my closet—but lately I've been trying to be a little more inventive with my accessories and adding more bright color. There's one color in particular that I've absolutely fallen in love with.
Stepping inside the world of Chanel
When someone tells you that Chanel is throwing a beauty pop-up in LA full of fun vignettes and Instagrammable moments, you go! Seriously you guys, if you're free this weekend, you need to check out the Chanel Beauty House in West Hollywood.

It's no secret that runway collections are oftentimes a reflection of the times. Say what you will about the frivolities of fashion, but designers are constantly gathering inspiration from the world around them, placing their ears to the ground and trying to capture the cultural zeitgeists. Designers are, after all, the trend dictators, and when they unveil a new collection, they're not only sharing what clothes to wear but how they're currently interpreting the world at large; the culture, the fads, the politics.

If millennial pink has been the star of the past few years, then lavender is the color of the future. After Pantone named a bold purple the color of 2018, I've been noticing an increase of pastel purples wherever I shop. Sure, it's not the exact same hue, but I'd like to think lavender is the fashion girl's answer to the overpowering saturation of Ultra Violet.
I used to think hats looked kind of weird, but lately I've been coming around to the idea of incorporating more hats into my outfits. Weird hair denting aside, they can take a simple look to a new level of chic-ness, and throwing on a hat is also a nice way to fix a lackluster hair day.
Here are the 3 hat styles that I adore the most:

Happy New Year, everyone! I'm so excited for 2018 and all the adventures that I'm sure will come with it, and hope you are too!
Of course, 2018 has started on a very cold note (I'm told certain parts of the country are in the negative degrees, which to be honest is a hard concept for my California self to even fathom!) so I'm rounding up some of my favorite coats that will keep you warm throughout the rest of winter.
