| Vanessa Hudgens wearing an ASOS blazer, AQ/AQ jumpsuit, Chloé purse, and Wildfox sunglasses |
Over the past few years, Vanessa Hudgens has built up quite the reputation as a Coachella fashion queen and wearer of festival styles 365 days a year. Basically a walking Free People ad. And while her flower crowns and flowy dresses were acceptable on the festival grounds, her bohemian princess style definitely ran its course after a while.
Thankfully, Hudgens has undergone a period of personal style refinement. A "style evolution" would be perhaps too drastic of a term, because at the heart of her looks Hudgens still exudes bohemian/hippie style, but it's a more polished, upscale version that combines festival-ready elements with classic pieces.
Her must-have pieces? Vintage-inspired matching sets, oversized round sunglasses, and her trusty Chloé Faye crossbody bag. To get Hudgens' upscale-boho look, shop at stores like The Reformation, Free People, and Topshop.
Here are some of my favorite looks of hers:

| Rocking the natural texture of my hair |
In the age of photoshop and Instagram filters, it is so easy to look at perfectly polished celebrities and glamorous fashion bloggers and strive to achieve that same level of beauty perfection, even when said level is virtually impossible without the use of some editing and retouching. And when you're like me, someone who is still dealing with the occasional acne outbreak and still figuring out how to do my hair and makeup like a pro, it can be easy to get discouraged and feel inadequate when constantly looking at perfect fashion faces all day long.
My hair, in particular, has been quite the struggle. I've always loved the color, of course, but never the texture. Since middle school I religiously blew-dry my hair to get it stick straight, and then I would style it with a flat-iron. I would curl my hair almost every day, and even now I spend a great deal of time trying to achieve Victoria's Secret Angels-status curls in front of a bathroom mirror, but lately I've been mixing up my hair routine a bit more. I've been air-drying my hair more, letting its natural texture reveal itself instead of trying so hard to suppress it.
And you know what? I actually like how my hair looks naturally! I like how it looks when it's perfectly done and curled too, but it's important to feel comfortable with my normal hair and not feel like I have to hide what it actually looks like. It's good to know that I can wake up, dab on some makeup, and feel confident with what I look like without spending hours to feel that way. Sometimes you just don't want to do your hair, so I'm glad I've learned to embrace it.
Luckily, all the cool French girls seem to be embracing the natural hair look, too. Here are some of my favorite French style stars who love to rock their hair as-is.

You know what they say, after all: one woman's trash is another woman's treasure!
There's a lot of Juicy Couture, Betsey Johnson, BCBG, and J. Crew on there, so if you are looking for a fabulous party dress at the fraction of what party dresses usually cost or if you just want some nice, affordable wardrobe staples, check out my listings on Tradesy. Let me know if you have any questions.

You can never have too many button-up shirts, and though my mom says I have too many striped things in my closet (stripes are the easiest way to incorporate prints into a wardrobe of neutrals, after all) I don't think I have any pink striped things...actually, come to think of it I do have a pink striped T-shirt...but I don't have an Equipment blouse, so this would still be a worthy purchase.
I'm still searching for the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans (seriously, will the search ever end?) but I like the look of this pair of Rag & Bone jeans.
Apparently I have a face that is made for sunglasses, because I can never resist the call of an enticing new sunglass shape or style. These Ray-Bans are the of-the-moment shape, and I love the blue-green lenses. Gives 'em a summery feel.
In beauty news, J. Crew just recently released three lipsticks that resident makeup artist Troi Ollivierre uses on all their photoshoots, so you too can look like a polished and preppy model (just add some beach-swept hair and of course your freshest J. Crew #look). My favorite shade is Lois, a vibrant pink (of course).
In terms of accessories, I'm pretty set on necklaces for the time being (did you see my newest Madewell bling?) but I do love a good dainty ring, and this Elizabeth & James ring packs just the right amount of punch. And I'm always down for another dainty lace bra. You can never have too many of those!
