August is an interesting transitional month. Style-wise, we look to the fall runways for our fashion cues and think of the future, but logistically it is far too hot still to try out new styles of fur coats and thigh-high boots. This isn't to say we can't start adopting the trends of fall; no, we just have to be smart about how we do this.

A pair of pointed ankle boots, for example, calls to mind the runway shows of Saint Laurent and Balenciaga. A straight-off-the-runway dress from Miu Miu screams in-the-know, but it's sleeveless, so you can rock it when it's still eighty degrees out. Plus, when it gets colder you can throw a sweater underneath like the runway styling or add a vibrant crocodile skin coat. A street style-worthy look!

I am still in search of the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans (when will my journey end!?!?) but instead of featuring yet another pair of cuffed baggy jeans, I thought I'd highlight the It style of Fall 2015: the high-rise flare. That's right, my friends, flares are totally back in. This J. Brand pair is gorgeous and dark wash, which adds a modern twist to this vintage style. And a cute white peasant blouse is the perfect match for these jeans.

Finally, what's a wishlist without the bag of the season? I'm referring, of course, to the Chloé "Drew" crossbody bag, which has been spotted on the shoulders of every A-lister and famous blogger. The midnight blue color adds to the intrigue.
