Inspiration for the New Year!

Happy New Year from The Fashion Barbie Blog! I am personally so excited for the start of 2014 - I've got awesome classes lined up for this semester, the most perfect internship for the spring semester, and plenty of great ideas for the new year.

As with any new year, I really hope to try new things, like trendy new restaurants in Downtown LA (like Church & State, pictured above) and beyond, experiment with more intense makeup looks and hairstyles, and get a new fitness routine going (I am dying to try SoulCycle - has anyone gone that would like to give me their review?). I'll finally have a car up at school so I really want to explore Los Angeles - there really is so much to do!

In addition, I've recently been very inspired by classic, timeless looks and the idea of basing outfits off of key staples. Nothing is quite as effortlessly cool as a white button down with tailored blue jeans, and I am super excited for a return to timeless chic.
