Leather & Blush

Though summer is still going strong, it's time to look forward to fall when it comes to clothing purchases. Luckily, most stores have shed their summer products aside for autumn-friendly pieces, so this won't be too challenging! For August, I'm looking for stylish, transitional pieces that can work in different temperatures. This is southern California, after all, where our hottest months are yet to come, and it never really gets that cold. I wasn't intentionally going to a purely leather and blush color palette, but it worked out nicely, don't you think?



As I've already talked about, a leather jacket is at the top of my fall shopping list. I can't believe I don't own one already, but it's so hard to find a good, quality jacket that isn't too ridiculously expensive. I'm obsessed with this Acne Studios jacket, but at $1600 it's a bit out of budget! I've also been eyeing this Blank NYC jacket that's currently on sale at Nordstrom (yay, Anniversary Sale); it's faux but looks great and is under $100!

In other leather news, I'm dying over these embroidered Gucci loafers. I love the idea of backless loafers since I always get horrible blisters on my ankles anyways, and Gucci ones are like, The Dream. The floral embroidery just gives it that unique detail that you won't see everywhere, but it's not too over the top. I also really like the idea of a leather mini skirt and love the lace-up detail on this Topshop one. Depending on styling, this skirt could work for a fashionable office or the club. Yay, versatility!

On the blush side of the color spectrum, Madewell is my right hand, my go to, and I think this pink lace-up blouse is just lovely. Again, versatility is key for me, and this top works with cut-offs or tailored pants equally well.

Another one of my brand obsessions? Mansur Gavriel. The accessories brand exploded onto the scene a few years back with their bucket bags, but I suspect the bucket bag trend has run its course. Now, structured bags are back in, and this circular purse from Mansur Gavriel takes the cake as one of the coolest purses around. You're just bound to get loads of compliments on it! Just be warned, most of their purses tend to come with a waitlist.

And for accessories, I'm keeping it simple with a Madewell pendant and Miansai cuff, plus glittery Miu Miu sunglasses because why the hell not?
