What I Wore | Trimming the Tree

December 19, 2016

Getting in the holiday spirit!

The Fashion Barbie is finally home for the holidays! Lucky for me, my family recognizes that I am the #1 Christmas Elf around, and leaves the tree unornamented until I come home each year. Once I'm home, I blast some Christmas music (preferably Mariah Carey's iconic "All I Want For Christmas Is You"), sip some hot chocolate, and get to work!

Over the years, my family has amassed a sizeable collection of ornaments, from handmade Kindergarten treasures to classic bulbs to vintage flea market finds. The end result is an eclectic one, but it totally goes with our house's overall "shabby chic" style, and I love that each ornament has a memory attached to it. One day, when I'm decorating my own home, I'll have a pink Christmas tree with rainbow ornaments and tinsel everywhere, but I love our classic Christmas tree style.
