As much as I try to move away from my feminine style sometimes (in the Arts District, you're more likely to see people in vintage Levi's and baseball jackets than fun and flirty dresses) I can never resist a good tulle skirt. It is perhaps the most feminine thing imaginable, big and frilly and reminiscent of ballet recitals. It's also the skirt of choice amongst one of pop culture's most famed fashionistas, Carrie Bradshaw.



Every so often, the tulle skirt comes back to the forefront of fashion, and recently I noticed Topshop and Marc Jacobs offering up their iterations of the ballet skirt. Wearing a tulle skirt is a great way to make a style statement, but even if you are more of a Miranda, there's a way for everyone to rock tulle.
