Rarely do I meet a sparkle or sequin I don't like. I'm a fashion magpie, basically. So when I see a new and fun way to add a little glitter to my getup, I go for it.
Saint Laurent made my dreams come true with a fall runway show full of sparkling boots and Mary-Janes, and a plethora of other designers has followed suit and presented their own versions of the disco boot. The most popular style seems to be a flat or low-heel ankle boot, but other designers have opted for taller boots or even combat-style lace-up shoes.
If you are looking for a statement piece to wear to a New Year's Eve party or other festive soiree, a pair of sequined boots will do the trick nicely. And another cool thing: when wearing a pair of eye-catching shoes, the rest of your outfit can be simple and minimalistic, as Gilda Ambrosio styled her pink Saint Laurent pair.

Personally, I'm a fan of the cotton candy pink coat with navy stripes—shocker, I know—but all the fun colors look great and really add that wow factor to what could be an otherwise simple outfit.
The best part is that with the success of Shrimps, hopefully other brands will turn to faux over real fur. I didn't even know Shrimps used faux fur until I read their 'About' page, that's how realistic their coats look! I just hope PETA got the message, because nobody wants red paint splattered over these gorgeous coats.
In addition to outerwear, Shrimps also has faux fur scarves, jackets, and even clutches, so check them out!

Thanksgiving is a cozy holiday, so why not dress the part? For most, Thanksgiving dinner is a day spent at home, cooking (and eating!) turkey and watching football while chatting with the fam, so there's no need to get too extravagant with your look. A loose-fitting sweaterdress is comfy and warm but won't keep you from stuffing your face full of stuffing.
Ankle boots are stylish but comfortable, adding a hint of trendiness to your look, and thin gold jewelry adds a bit of bling to your sweet look.

The holidays are the perfect time to bust out the metallics! Nothing screams festive and fun more than replicating sparkling tinsel, so mix and match different metallics and jacquards for your next wintertime dinner party.
If you're a more casual dresser, an embellished sweatshirt and a sparkling midi will work wonders. If you love being the life of the party, a flirty metallic mini and animal-print accessories will make sure all eyes are on you!
No matter what, everyone will be striking up dinner conversation over your fabulous outfit.

If you find yourself attending a black tie event this holiday season, good for you, and why not go all out with a bold statement? Whether it's a festive holiday red or a dazzling ballgown embellished with gold details, don't be afraid to go all out and shine!

Baby blue was all over the Spring 2015 runways. And now that we're entering into the last month of 2014, it's time to start looking towards the year ahead. From Fendi to Altuzarra, light, pastel shades of blue dominated collections, on everything from oversized coats to feathery party dresses.
This color has staying power, so invest now with a winter coat or wait for spring with a blue midi skirt. Baby blue looks amazing with black, camel, and cream colors, or stay monochromatic as with the Edun and Jonathan Saunders looks.
No matter what, you are going to look fabulous!

It's finally fall here in Los Angeles! That means busting out the army jackets and the flannel. My mom was up for the afternoon which meant I was treated to a delicious dinner at Bottega Louie, one of my absolute favorite downtown LA haunts. Seriously, they have the best macarons outside of Paris and the atmosphere is amazing. Sunday brunch is fun if you like people watching and don't mind waiting to get your seat, but a Wednesday afternoon works just as well!
But it all honesty, I'm so happy that it's finally getting a little chilly here. I don't need snow on Christmas or anything like that, but it is nice to feel a cool breeze as I sip on my Starbucks peppermint mocha instead of being forced to get my latte on ice thanks to the hot weather.
And ever since I bought this Madewell dress in August. I've been dying to wear it! Thank the lord, the time has finally arrived when I can dawn a flannel dress and not melt like the Wicked Witch of the West.
What's your favorite part of fall? And more importantly, what's your favorite thing to wear in fall?

Plaid is a fall classic, as autumnal as a pumpkin patch or a harvest festival. Plaid button-downs are especially ever-present these days with the 90s revival happening. But the fashion world is always looking for ways to reinvent itself and to provide something new to stylish consumers, and so here's an item you may not necessarily have in your closet but definitely SHOULD: the plaid sweater.
A plaid sweater perfectly combines the classic print with the coziness of a knit sweater, making it the perfect piece to throw on before heading off to class or even when you are just cuddling up by the fireplace with a good book and some hot cocoa. Wow, that sounds like a good plan. Just need to get a fireplace...Anyways, there's lots of ways to style this versatile sweater style: dress it up with a form-fitting mini skirt and heels, or make it weekend-worthy with a classic jeans and boots combination.
No matter how you style it, these sweaters are as cute as they are cozy, so why not invest in one this season? I know I've already got this Madewell bad boy on my list!

If you aren't going to make clothes that speak to the artistic soul, you might as well design clothes that people are going to wear. Bally creative director Pablo Coppola did just that for the brand's spring 2015 collection.
There's not a whole lot of conceptuality going on here, and that's not a bad thing, it's just the truth. A clothing collection like this is like a Dadaist artwork, not trying to be profound or symbolic, just trying to be "art for art's sake". And Coppola has concocted a variety of outfits that "cool girls" from Los Angeles to Manhattan will be clamoring to replicate. I know I want to!
Bally has outfits for every occasion, from office attire to weekend wear and even night out looks. Boyfriend jeans, flatforms, jackets worn as capes—all the essentials of the fashion girl wardrobe appear here in the collection.
How do you feel about the Bally collection?
