Cute Under-$100 Coats

I have always had a fascination with coats. Envy is a sin, I know, but just like straight-haired girls always dream of curls and vice versa, I think I've developed a fondness for coats because I, a California girl, have minimal experience with winter. Coats are such statement-makers, and I value the craftsmanship that goes into making a beautiful coat...I made one when I had dreams of fashion design school, and I was overwhelmed by how many steps went in to creating just one piece of clothing.

With all that being said, while I admire a good coat I don't have much use for them in Los Angeles, but on occasion the temperature does actually dip below 60 degrees, sometimes even below 50! I know, I know, absolutely shocking, but sometimes even we could use a quality coat. I bought this Modcloth coat during Black Friday because it was just $60 and you don't say no to a deal like that! Besides, because I only wear coats a few times a year, all mine are boring, black, basic coats, so this felt like the perfect opportunity to mix things up without breaking the bank.
