The Coolest Items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

July 14, 2015

Sales are great. Awesome clothes available at a fraction of their original prices? Sign me up! But you know what's even better than a sale? A pre-sale, aka when the clothes are offered at a discounted price before they go back to being full-price.

That's right, it's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale time!

The department store has a lot of great offerings for fall, and the sale collection is the best that it has been in years, if I do say so myself. In particular, there are many different leather jackets, cute shoes, and great knitwear pieces, so you can stock up on all the things you need for fall.

Below are some of my favorite pieces that are available during the Anniversary Sale. If you're a Nordstrom cardholder, you can shop everything now! For non-cardholders, the Anniversary Sale begins this Friday, July 17th.

Topshop jacket | Billabong dress | Tory Burch sunglasses | Elizabeth & James purse
Leith tank top | Joie heels | Gorjana ring

Social Media Ring Set - C Wonder

While shopping today my mom and I ventured into C Wonder (a fabulous preppy store full of brightly colored clothes, cute accessories & home decor) and I stumbled upon this awesome set of rings.

I've been dying to try out the stacked ring trend and I could not resist these cheeky designs. I love the idea of wearing a hashtag or an ampersand and turning a text symbol into art! Totes Tres chic.

I also found a fabulous pair of black heeled Chelsea boots at C Wonder, a gorgeous green Marc by Marc Jacobs dress at Nordstrom, and a fabulous Genie by Eugenia Kim felt hat at Anthropologie. Quite the successful saturday at Fashion Valley, if I do say so myself.

Color Theory: Black and Blue Ombre

August 5, 2013

Ombre is still going strong as a fashion trend, and this fall will see the dip-dyed style get a little cooler.

Jonathan Saunders and Proenza Schouler featured pieces in their Fall 2013 presentations that transformed from the lightest of blues to the darkest of noirs (and sometimes back again).

Whoever said that black and blue didn't go together clearly hasn't been paying attention to runway shows as of late, because the two colors together couldn't look better.

Go black & blue from head-to-two with a lovely dyed dress, or use the trend as an accent with a fun ombre manicure! Go as big or little as you want, but definitely check out this trend.
