Jimmy Choo purse | Alex Monroe necklace | Madewell dress | J. Crew shirt | Rodarte & Other Stories skirt | Elina Linardaki sandals |
Anyways, it's April, which is a really crazy exciting month for me because it's my BIRTHDAY MONTH and also my last month of school EVER. Seriously, my last day of class is on April 28th. Commence freakout...now.
But because it's a super fun busy month for me, I'm gonna need some killer threads to get me through it in style. That means lots of color, embellishment, and cool details that are Anything But Basic. As I wrote earlier this week, off-the-shoulder tops and dresses are my jam lately, and this Madewell dress is sooo cute. I tried it on last week and died, I loved it so much. Hopefully I'll get it for my birthday (Mom, this was a hint for you).
I also have been eyeing this Alex Monroe fox necklace for a while now. I don't want to say that the fox is my spirit animal because that's like, cultural appropriation, but I very much identify with foxes—basically my Harry Potter patronus would be a fox (I know, I've taken several Buzzfeed quizzes on the matter)—and also they are just a very stylish animal. And a fox necklace sure as hell beats a boring Tiffany's heart necklace. Remember when those were a thing?
Elsewhere, one of my favorite designer brands, Rodarte, has teamed up with & Other Stories for a more wallet-friendly collection. Everything is beautiful and 70s-inspired (because what isn't these days?) and this groovy patchwork skirt is of particular intrigue, because it's both neutral and has shiny gold. What can I say, I'm a bit of a magpie.
Speaking of, these Elina Linardaki sandals (and countless other iterations) have been everywhere lately and I must say that I'm a fan. What a great way to spice up a simple white beach cover-up or breezy vacation outfit! Tbh, give me multicolored pompoms and I'm a happy girl.
And because this month is about having fun and looking cool while doing it, why have a boring white button-down when you can have a white button-down with beads??? I mean really, given the option, which one would you pick? The beaded one, duh. Same goes for the candy-colored Jimmy Choo clutch. Yes, it also comes in basic black, but like, why would I want that when I can have CANDY COLORS? It's a no-brainer.
Okay, hopefully you paid attention, Mom, and other readers who are not buying me birthday presents but just want to know what I'm shopping for this month...or you could buy me presents too! (lol jk, unless you're not).
