Midriffs haven't been this visible since the mid-90s, but if you are even slightly aware of fashion happenings, you know that crop tops are a sartorial force to be reckoned with. They come in many shapes and sizes, from the jagged cut hem of an "upcycled" T-shirt to the tailored sophistication of a belly-baring bustier.
But you may grow tired of these trendy half-tops and their traditional shapes. God forbid you revert back to your old, waist-covering ways. No, you've worked hard for those abs (five crossfit sessions a week, to be exact) and you've got it so you should naturally flaunt it.
Never fear, my friend, because there is a new crop of crop tops just waiting to be topped.
For spring, the beloved crop top gets an inventive twist with this criss-cross shape. The tank swoops down low on the sides of the torso and wraps up snugly across the collarbone, leaving the naturally flattest part of your abs as the center of attention. This new shape also exposes a little back, which looks sexy without being too overt.
In short, this crop top is basically perfect.
If you're keeping your separates shorter, go for a fuller skirt or pair of shorts to keep the top airy and light. A tailored ankle-length pant or elongating pencil skirt are also good matches.
Will you be testing out this new style of crop top once the weather warms up?

I love it too! It's slightly retro but totally relevant at the same time, and a super fun going out ensemble.

Lindsey, I like the cross in the front but not so much in the back.
